On TV last night
I watched desperate romantics last night, really good actually.
I think rossetti was probably hot in real life judging by this pic
The actor who played rossetti is pretty hot- I liked him as the vampire with a heart on 'being human'.
it was a self portrait though!
I read a funny review that said that it was like watching an episode of the inbetweeners set in the 18oo's... very true!
It reminded me how much I like some of millais' paintings,
including of course the famous Ophiela

moon landing
While everyone is worrying about the economy, terrorism and making swine flu action plans
(the one in our office involved stocking up on cheap tissues & and putting up patronising posters)
...It was refreshing to transport my mind to the moon, for the 40th anniversary of the moon landing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMINSD7MmT4
Its hard to imagine how it would have felt to watch live the first people to ever walk on the moon,
However, I have a feeling that as much as I would be in awe, I would be shocked at what an alarming waste of money the whole thing was.
With all the problems on earth, it seems a little irresponsible to wander off throwing around millions of dollars.
But I guess it's the human instinct for exploration that will keep us expanding out till there is nowhere left to go,
I wonder if in a few hundred years there will be people settled on the moon and mars?
and cruises for the super-rich around Saturn?
The earth would probably be better off if we left home and it carried on without us.

First Post Ever
My first post...
Such pressure to write something important...
Sooooooooooooo
I wont- I'll write just about big brother....
How boring has it been this year?
I've watched it from the beginning and always defended it,
I know it's trash tv and full of losers, but it can be entertaining.
and I'm not watching it for the intelligent conversations!
But with this series I'm starting to get really bored by it.
However, I have enjoyed seeing the old contestants for the 10 year birthday week...
I have met 2 big brother contestants in real life...
1.I once saw Rex (last year, arse chef) in selfridges buying a card
2.I used to work with Darren from the first series...in a call centre (which isn't a good sign for the future for current contestants!) and he was a bit of a dick actually.
On a separate note....I just found out that Marcus
(The wolverine in love with the Irish girl Noreen) lives close to me,
and has his haircut at my old hairdressers!
How's that for a claim to fame?!!
(by the way I don't have a mullet)
